William E. Back

William E. Back, 62, of Mammoth, passed away suddenly at home on May 3, 2024. He was born in Jeannette on August 14, 1961 to James and Dorothy Back.

Bill worked as a mechanic and was the owner of Mammoth Auto. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Lions Club, the Three Rivers Ford Model A Club, and St. Florian Church where he was an active volunteer for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Valerie (Jellison) Back, a son, Chris (Jenn) Back and daughter Amber (Andrew) Shafer, two grandchildren, Damian and Rylee Back, brothers Matt (Chris), and Bruce (Donelle) Back, a sister, Brenda Fontana, brother-in-law, Ronald Jellison, also nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Hoffer Wilt Funeral Home, Norvelt, on TUESDAY from 9am until the time of transfer prayers at 10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Florian Church with Fr. John Sedlak officiating. Burial will follow in St. Florian Cemetery.
